Welcoming Spring with a Mother to be
Moving to Fort Hood has made it a difficult task to keep my business afloat, with all the army spouses that love taking pictures. I have even had a young lady that says she wants to get back into her photography tell me she would put name out there, when in actuality she put her name out there. I wish people were more like this young family. The husband heard about me through my husband and gave me a call. I told him that this would in fact be my very first maternity photo session. They decided to go with me and give me a chance to broaden my portfolio and get their photos done at the same time. I am not that average photographer, since I do all the extra work myself I am able to go with cheaper rates. Charging a retainer fee per person instead of a fee for a family of five when they only have 3.
At the first meeting they were just as nervous as I was, (I have a shy bone around new people). When I started Ted talking about what they should expect from and signed the contracts and other forms I just relaxed and let everything come out. I thought they would change their minds just because I was a talker. In fact they paid me that day and the following week we met for their photo session.
‘After getting started the hour just flew by. I wished it was longer it was do much fun to watch the memories comes alive. The love within this family is cherish-able and amazing. The little being only 4 years old was camera happy. This experience with these people are just what I need to get my name out there. I am excited to what else I can do for you and anyone else that I get the opportunity to shoot. Thank you Velasquez family you are truly amazing people.
